Making best use of resources
Aims and Objectives
This Peer Learning Cluster particularly focuses in the preparation of exchanges of best practices in two different but related fields:
- Efficient, Equitable and Sustainable Funding Mechanisms
- Evidence-Based Policy and Practice (EBPP).
Three Peer Learning Activities (PLAs) and one seminar have been organised so far:
- A first PLA on "Tuition fees and accompanying financial measures" in July 2005 (
- the 2nd PLA on "University Governance: Autonomy and Accountability", April 2006, in
- a seminar on "Investing and financing VET in different Member States", March 2006, in
- the PLA on "evidence-based policy and practice in E&T" (EBPP) took place in

The work of this cluster is very related to the Communication on Efficiency and Equity in European Education and Training Systems and Staff working document ''Towards more knowledge-based policy and practice in Education and Training'.
